Our Story

Our History

Working in harmony with the land since 1966

Hall Hunter Partnership was started by Mark and Mary Hall, in 1966 and continues to grow, in every sense of the word.

These days the business is run by their son Harry who has continued the tradition of driving the business to be ever better. He and his family live at Tuesley Farm, the largest farm that we own.

The business covers seven sites: from Berkshire to Surrey to Sussex, and in 2016, we ventured overseas to start a farm in Portugal. Our approach combines decades of experience, expertise and passion with modern, innovative techniques. The result? Exceptional tasting fruit that brings a smile to your face.

We remain true to the ethos that has underpinned the business for the past fifty years: To nurture every plant, person and environment so that they reach their full potential; to deliver sweet fruit, picked from fields that buzz with life by people who aspire to be the best they can be.

Our Values

We are driven by passion, innovation and the creation of outputs that excite us

Family values form the cornerstone of our company. They keep us focused on prioritising the key elements that are important to everyone who works with us. We strongly believe that this provides the best foundation for all to grow and always produce berries that our customers have come to associate with Hall Hunter.

By deploying new fruit varieties and methods, we’re able to consistently delight our customers with beautiful fruit every time. We pride ourselves on our expertise, meticulous attention to detail and commitment to always operating ethically and with integrity.

Pioneering

We aim to set the industry standards in all that we do and like to be regarded as thought-leaders.

Our significant achievements over the last fifteen years are due in their entirety to consistent delivery from the whole HHP team.

Our Motivation

Leaving a positive, tangible legacy.

Our role is to leave things in a better condition than when we receive them, with only the lightest of our footprints remaining.

We farm because we love the lifestyle. We love the thrill and joy of producing the best fruit, working with nature, embracing the elements, the ever-changing weather and the unity and diversity of our family of workers

Our culture revolves around being authentic, vibrant, honest and demanding. The creation and development of our farms and the nurturing of talented managers leaves an inspiring, tangible legacy for the future.

Our success comes from a commitment to being authentic, honest, and relentlessly focused on detail

We’re competitive, passionate and always striving to be the best we can be. This is balanced by an openness to new or different ideas that may help us improve.

For us, the ultimate proof of success is when our customers eat our fruit, are delighted and return time and again to get some more.

I am very proud to have such a vibrant example of British horticulture in my constituency. It’s great to be able to buy locally grown fruit in my local supermarket and now I always look out for the Harry Hall label on raspberries and strawberries.
