I first came to the UK in 2005 to attend university, I studied at both Cirencester and Reading. After university I managed a coffee plantation in the Arusha region of Tanzania, before returning to the UK in 2011 to join Hall Hunter.

When I started at Hall Hunter, I didn’t know anyone within the company. My position when I joined was Assistant Farm Manager and I was based at Sheeplands Farm. The team was very friendly and quickly made me feel welcome.

Over the past seven years I’ve seen massive changes within the Hall Hunter business. New varieties like Sapphire, Diamond Jubilee and Sweet Eve 2 have completely changed our working environment, with much higher yielding and faster picking crops. We’ve also moved completely away from soil grown systems, with most of our strawberries now on table tops which makes plant husbandry and picking a more comfortable operation.

My current goal is to help support the ongoing success of propagation. We have a fantastic team, love what we do and are extremely proud of what we continue to achieve.

I’ve made some very good friends during my time here and am sure I’ll continue to!
